Sonoff Zigbee Smart Water Tap Valve

The SONOFF SWV-BSP is a Zigbee smart water valve designed for installers who need a simple way to automate traditional hose-tap irrigation systems. It connects between a compatible outdoor tap and hose, allowing customers to control watering through a compatible Zigbee gateway and smart home platform. SONOFF positions the SWV as a quick upgrade for watering lawns, gardens, vegetable patches and similar irrigation areas. 

For trade customers, the SWV-BSP is useful for smart garden upgrades, rental properties, residential automation packages, holiday homes, small commercial gardens and customers who want more control over water use. It supports app remote control, scheduled watering and smart scenes, allowing watering to happen automatically based on time, routine or connected automation logic. 

The valve supports both schedule mode and capacity mode, with single and cyclic irrigation options. This allows installers to set up basic timed watering or more targeted watering plans depending on the customer’s garden, plant type or water-saving goals. SONOFF also lists up to 180 days of water usage and irrigation duration history in the app, helping customers review daily, weekly or monthly watering behaviour. 

The SWV-BSP uses Zigbee 3.0 and works with compatible Zigbee gateways, including SONOFF NSPanel Pro, iHost, ZB Bridge-P, ZB Bridge-U, ZBDongle-E/-P and selected third-party Zigbee hubs. SONOFF also notes support for open-source platforms when used with ZBDongle-P or ZBDongle-E, making it a useful option for Home Assistant and other Zigbee-based smart home installations. 

For installation planning, the SWV-BSP is the BSP thread version and is powered by 4 × 1.5V AA batteries. Published specifications list Zigbee 3.0 wireless communication, IP55 protection, 0.06–0.8MPa working pressure, 5°C–60°C operating temperature, 5°C–40°C watering temperature and 152 × 100 × 46mm dimensions.
