Sonoff Zigbee LCD Smart Thermometer with Probe

The SONOFF SNZB-02LD is a Zigbee smart thermometer designed for installers who need to monitor temperatures in areas where a standard room sensor is not suitable. It features a 1.5m wired probe, allowing the sensing point to be placed inside liquids, enclosed spaces, fridges, freezers, tanks, pipes, cabinets or equipment areas while the main display remains visible and accessible. SONOFF lists the SNZB-02LD as an IP65 Zigbee LCD smart thermometer with probe-based temperature measurement, Zigbee 3.0 support, app monitoring and historical data export. 

For trade customers, the SNZB-02LD is useful across smart home, light commercial and specialised monitoring projects. It can be used for aquariums, wine cellars, cool rooms, refrigeration cabinets, server or equipment cupboards, plant rooms, pipework areas, greenhouses, brewing or fermentation setups, and other applications where customers need visibility of temperature changes before they become a problem.

The 2.2” LCD display provides clear local temperature readings, while Zigbee connectivity allows the sensor to report data to a compatible gateway or smart home platform. When paired with a suitable Zigbee system, customers can monitor temperatures through an app, create alerts when readings move outside a set range, and trigger automations such as turning on fans, heaters, pumps, ventilation or warning notifications. SONOFF states the device supports Zigbee 3.0 gateways, including SONOFF hubs and selected Zigbee-compatible gateways. 

The external probe is designed for wider temperature monitoring than a typical room sensor, with SONOFF listing a probe working temperature range of -40°C to 115°C, a host working temperature range of -10°C to 60°C, and a 1.5m cable length. The unit is powered by a CR2477 battery and has an IP65 rating, making it suitable for humid and splash-prone environments, though SONOFF notes it should not be submerged, exposed to high-pressure water jets, or placed outdoors where exposed to rain. 

For installers, the SNZB-02LD is a strong add-on product for temperature-sensitive installations where early warnings and automation can provide real value. It gives customers a simple local display, remote visibility, historical temperature data and the ability to integrate temperature monitoring into a wider Zigbee-based smart home or light commercial automation system.
