The SONOFF Zigbee 4-in-1 Smart Scene Button (SNZB-01M) is a compact, battery-powered wireless controller designed to provide convenient physical control of smart devices, scenes and automations. Featuring four individual buttons with four supported press actions per button, it can provide up to 16 customisable triggers from a single device.

Each button can respond to a single press, double press, triple press or long press, allowing installers to create an intuitive control interface for lighting, blinds, climate systems, security modes and whole-home automation scenes. A compatible Zigbee or eWeLink-Remote gateway is required.

Up to 16 Customisable Smart Triggers

The four-button design provides significantly more control options than a conventional single-button Zigbee scene switch. Each press action can be assigned to a different scene or automation, giving customers quick access to frequently used functions without needing to open an app.

Zigbee and eWeLink-Remote Modes

The SNZB-01M can operate in either Zigbee mode or eWeLink-Remote mode, providing installers with additional flexibility when selecting the most suitable communication method for an application.

In Zigbee mode, the scene button can be paired with a compatible Zigbee gateway and used as a trigger for smart scenes and automations. In eWeLink-Remote mode, it can provide responsive local control through a compatible eWeLink-Remote gateway or receiving device. The selected mode can be changed without automatically deleting previously configured Zigbee scenes.

Home Assistant and Open-Source Platform Support

The SONOFF Zigbee 4-in-1 Smart Scene Button can be integrated with popular open-source smart home platforms, including Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT, when used with a compatible Zigbee coordinator such as a supported SONOFF Zigbee USB dongle.

This makes the SNZB-01M suitable for professional installations where advanced automations, local control and integration with devices from multiple manufacturers are required.

Home Assistant ZHA integration may require the installation of the appropriate device handler or script. Compatibility and supported button actions should always be confirmed for the selected coordinator and software version before deployment.

TouchLink and Direct Device Control

TouchLink support allows the button to connect directly with compatible Zigbee lighting products that support the TouchLink function. This can provide fast local control without relying on an app-based automation for every action.

TouchLink compatibility varies between manufacturers and individual device models, so installers should confirm support before specifying the button for direct control of a particular light, switch or Zigbee device.

Fast and Reliable Local Operation

The SNZB-01M supports direct Zigbee binding and local device-to-device control when implemented with compatible equipment. Local control can provide faster response times and may allow essential button functions to continue operating without requiring cloud communication.

SONOFF specifies a wireless communication range of up to 130 metres in open areas. Actual range will depend on building construction, interference, gateway placement and the strength of the surrounding Zigbee mesh network.

Wire-Free and Flexible Installation

Powered by a replaceable CR2477 battery, the SONOFF Zigbee scene button requires no electrical wiring. This makes it suitable for retrofits, rental properties and locations where installing a conventional wired switch is impractical.

The circular button can be removed from its supplied square mounting base and used as a portable remote. The base supports flexible mounting options, allowing the controller to be positioned on a wall, attached to a suitable metal surface or placed on a desk, bedside table or benchtop.

Its compact white design complements the SONOFF Fusion product range and provides a clean, modern appearance for residential and light-commercial installations.

Long Battery Life

The SNZB-01M uses one replaceable CR2477 battery. Under SONOFF’s laboratory testing conditions of approximately 50 button presses per day, the expected battery life is at least four years in Zigbee mode or two years in eWeLink-Remote mode.

Actual battery life will vary according to operating mode, usage frequency, signal quality, environmental conditions and battery quality.
